So, I haven’t done an update on this in a while. I’ve got more babies for my collection! The first four I purchased in Florida during my Christmas/New Year’s trip, and the last two I purchased yesterday at the local flea market.

Here’s some info on them:

Konica C35 - 1968
Pentax K1000 - 1976-97
Argus C-Fourty-Four - 1956-57
Minolta XG-M - 1981
Brownie Fiesta R4 - 1962-70
Brownie Starflash Outlet - 1957-65

I’m going to try my best to ignore my “friends” being just so incredibly unable to squeeze me into their plans (even though I am only here for a few more days and will go back to Virginia to be alone and without my closest friends anywhere nearby) with the awesome vintage cameras I found today at the Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale.

Finished and developed the second roll of film I took with the Kodak Retinette, and this time the pictures came out MUCH better. I wish I had a scanner so I could post some of the better ones. Bah. =(

Got the photos developed that I took with the Kodak Retinette. Unfortunately, since I am still learning how to properly use the camera, a lot of them came out as double exposures. Fortunately, though, 35mm is cheap, and so is getting it developed.

I think it’s time I get a bookshelf for my vintage cameras. The problem will be finding one that matches the style of the other furniture in my living room. LOL =P

More babies for my collection! :D Today was apparently a Kodak day, since all the ones I found, even the ones I didn’t purchase, were Kodak.

The last two cameras I likely won’t be able to get film for, but the Kodak Retinette IA is a 35mm camera! I am planning on going to the pharmacy or Walmart tomorrow to get some film and test it out. :D

Here’s some info on these:

Kodak Retinette IA - 1966
Kodak Brownie Reflex “Synchro Model” - 1940
Kodak Colorburst 100 - 1978

I bought three new babies for my vintage camera collection today. The Kodak Ektra and the Magimatic Magicube x50 cost me $5 a piece, and the Brownie Hawkeye cost me $15. I am DYING to find a Kodak Ektra from the 1940s’. I mean, shit, look at how gorgeous it is!

The funniest thing is that I found 3 DIFFERENT Hawkeyes today in two different towns. However, this was the best bargain. The second one I found was priced at $65, but the condition was identical to the one I bought. The third one I found was $10, but the condition was worse; it had more rust and dirt on it.

I had bought the Polaroid Impulse a while ago, but apparently never posted it on my blog. I bought at a consignment store for $4.

Some info on the above shown cameras:

Brownie Hawkeye - 1949
Magimatic Magicube - c. 1970’s
Kodak Ektra - 1978
Polaroid Impulse - 1988

The newest additions to my vintage camera collection! Actually, to be honest, I was inspired by a friend’s mother to start up this collection. I had collected things all the time as a kid (baseball cards, Marvel Masterpiece cards, vintage silver spoons, coins, etc). After visiting our friend’s parents for 4th of July, and seeing her amazing vintage camera collection, I thought that it would be something I’d love to do, too! Funnily enough, a few weeks later, I find the three beauties in the top photo all in one local place. :D

My Canon AE-1 program is one I’d already had for a few years, but I thought it deserved to be featured too since it is such a stellar film camera.

Some info on the above shown cameras:

Ansco Sure Shot Box Camera - c. 1948
Bradac Bros. Kamarad MK II - 1937
(unfortunately, mine is missing the nameplate, so I am not sure if it is the American version or the Czech version)
Agfa Ansco Plenax PB-20 - c. 1930s’
Canon AE-1 Program - c. early 1980s’
