I’m so excited!

July 28th, 2009

Tomorrow, I’m taking the train up to Jupiter to see Audi. :D YAY! I can’t wait to see him again. I know it hasn’t been long since we last saw each other, but I’m still happy and excited. As I mentioned in a previous journal entry, we’re likely going to go look at that apartment he found.

I went shopping today and bought a few things at Dolphin Mall. I bought the Angel Sanctuary series (it’s only three episodes long) and  a very cute hat at Hot Topic (which was the only thing worth buying there). I’m wearing the hat tomorrow when I go see Audi, so I’ll likely have pics of me wearing it. I’ll make sure to post some pics of the day… if there are any worth posting anyway. haha.

I’ve noticed that with this diet, it has not been difficult to give up the things I used to eat before. All the unhealthy things I loved have been easy to give up. I think it’s more willpower than anything else. I see the final goal and I use that as my driving force. For example, I thought it was going to be hard to stop eating mayonnaise, but it has been surprisingly easy. I just don’t add it to the sandwich and think about how good it will taste with the healthy substitutes instead. So, hopefully this will lead to shedding the pounds more efficiently. ;)

Oh, and I realized there is one slight problem with my lovely new iPhone cover. It seems that the jack in my car does not quite fit since the hole i the case for the jack input… is too small. Audi tells me the reason for this is because the case was probably meant for the first generation iPhone, hence why it is smaller. Great. However, he tells me that there is an adapter for it, and it usually runs really cheap. My next purchase! The only downfall is that I can’t answer the phone when the adapter is on, but who cares? I’m using it for the jack in my car, so I don’t need to be talking on the phone while I’m driving, anyway.

Well, I have nothing more to share so… ciao.

Today was a good day.

I got two things in the mail that I had been waiting anxiously for.

img_5570smallerThe first was this awesome protective case for my iPhone. I got it on Ebay for about 8 bucks and it is just gorgeous.  I took a picture of it, just because I wanted to show it off. ;) I now have four different cases for my iPhone, so I don’t think I will be buying any more for a while. My problem was that I really liked the case I had before, but it was too busy. I wanted something that had flair, but much more subdued. I saw this cover, then, and I thought, “That’s a lot nicer than the one I have.” Little did I realize how much perfect it was going to be than I originally thought. The design parts are actually transparent. So, unless you’re shining a bright light on the case (like I did in the photo), you see through the cross to the iPhone below. Awesome, huh? Plus, the texture of the plastic almost feels like leather, so yea… it was DEFINITELY worth 8 bucks.

The other thing I got in the mail was….. MY DIPLOMA! Yes yes yes, I am a certified graduate of University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Art. YAY! I was so worried that something would go wrong with my credits, but everything happened as I hoped it would. I am DONE (well, until I decide to go to Graduate school, anyway). I would take a picture of it, but it has my real name on it so… No no. Sorry, folks! However, I am sure you can all imagine that it’s very pretty and quite big. =X I am going shopping tomorrow (later today?) to find a nice frame for it. :D

Oh, and the song I’m currently hooked on?

Getting closer and closer…

July 13th, 2009

I went in to work today, only to find out Dustin didn’t need me. =( Meh, it’s ok. I turned in my invoice, and Dustin told me that the president of the company is willing to hire me on permanently. I have to wait for about three weeks, though, since they need to wait for the Feds to return the manuals with their corrections and such. Also, since I am not needed at work tomorrow, that means I can see Audi even earlier and spend the day with him! :D

I’ve been having way too much fun with my iPhone. I can’t put it down. Here’s some of my fave apps so far:

BeBot – Robot Synth
This app is totally worth $1.99. It makes awesome sounds, has the option to make your own sounds, andddddd HE DANCES AND SINGS. It’s the cutest robot I’ve seen since Bender whenever he cries.

Hero of Sparta
I seriously cannot believe this game only costs 99 cents. It has a fucking amazing intro, the gameplay graphics are great, and the music is terrific.

NIN Access
A perfect app for any and every fan of Nine Inch Nails.

Vampires: Bloodlust
I’m addicted. I check it every day to see how much blood I have, how many levels I’ve gone up, etc etc… It’s also one of the nicest looking “vampire” games I’ve seen for the iPhone. You can tell the designers took careful consideration towards the design, the transitions, and the overall setup of the game.

Shazam
If you love music, and you have an iPhone, GET THIS. It’s FREE, so you can’t go wrong. Let it listen to 10 seconds, and it will tell you what song it is. It picked up a song that was playing in a noisy restaurant, so I was really impressed. My only gripe with it is that it doesn’t recognize more obscure songs, but that is to be expected, I suppose.

Paper Toss
I don’t know what it says about me, but sometimes, I just want a simple, straightforward game where I don’t have to do a lot of thinking. Paper Toss is that kind of game. The object is to throw crumpled paper balls into a trash can. See? Simple, right? It takes time to get used to, but after you learn what you have to do, it really helps kill time.

Slacker Radio
A radio app that lets me listen to stations that cater to goth rock, industrial, new wave, and more when I connect my iPhone to my car radio? Sold. Well, not really. It’s free so… even better!

Mecho Wars
I’m still getting used to it, but it’s slowly becoming a favorite.

So yea… that’s pretty much it for tonight. Ciao, miei amici.

I love my new toy…

June 25th, 2009

Oh yes, oh yes I do! I’ve already made a few playlists so I can listen to my tunes at work. The ones I have right now are Alternative, Ambient, Electronica, Instrumental, JRock, and 80s. I’ve also added a few apps: Tap Tap Revenge, the NIN app, and Labyrinth (Lite version). I bought a case for it at Best Buy today during my lunch break, and I bought two more on eBay when I got home. This one cover that I bought is just incredible. It has the face from the painting “The Scream” by Edvard Munch in a random repeating pattern.

I need to start sending out my resume next week since it will probably be my last week working with Dustin. That’s the problem with temp jobs, they don’t last too long! Haha. I really enjoy working there, but I feel more at home doing artsy stuff. Speaking of which, my friend Sandra wanted me to work on a non-conventional, fantasy inspired family portrait for them. I’m planning to go this weekend to photograph stock images for the piece. I’ll most likely post the finished piece either in the commissions section of my site or on my deviantart account… or both. =P

I did a search for my Match.com interest’s username, thinking that he probably uses the same name for other things just like I do. I ended up finding his website and his facebook. I sent him a friend request, so I hope he adds me or replies or something. LOL. I will admit, I have just a slight crush. But I’m not going to assume anything until we actually meet, IF we ever do. Meh. Here’s to hoping.

Anyway, I’m done for now. Ciao.

Workin’ 9 to 5 – Part 2

June 10th, 2009

So far, I dig this job. I can do the work, nobody bothers me most of the time, and the people who work there are nice. =) I can even listen to my iPod while I work since it’s only me and Dustin in the office.

Since I’ve been a loyal AT&T customer for almost 8 years, apparently I might qualify for a full discount on a standard iPhone upgrade on the 15th. It just so happens that Apple is going to release the iPhone 3G (S) on the 19th. I don’t know if I will be able to get a discount for the newest model, but I think I am going to wait until the 19th (or after), anyway. You never know.  ;)

I’ve been missing Audi a lot lately. It is starting to hit me just how hard it is to move on from him. We have so much history, and we know each other SO well. I know that we could likely have a wonderful life together, and it seems that the fates are against that possibility. It sucks… a lot. =( I can only hope and pray that he realizes what he lost and comes back to me. *sigh*

Anyway… ciao.
