So, one of my “friends” on FB is trying to argue with me that home-done tattoos are A-OK because even doctors make housecalls… Heaven help me.

Apparently, her case is that since doctors sometimes visit patients in their homes, and bring all their “sterile” equipment with them, that it’s comparable to a tattoo artist coming to your house and tattooing you in your living room.

Doctors are a medical necessity. If a doctor needs to come to your house, it’s because you are too damn sick to leave it.

Body mods are not a fucking necessity. No one is going to die if they don’t get that cute little turtle tattoo on their ankle. They are, more often than not, a goddamn choice; a choice that most people plan months, even years, in advance.

Not. Even. Close. To being the same thing, dear.

  3. shadowofthesun said: Holy cow people like that just make me facepalm. Home done tattoos are one of the stupidest things a person can do and I’ve been chewing people out who do them since I was twelve. How anyone with common sense doesn’t get that is beyond me.
