I’m getting so tired of “Heartbreaker”, “Love is a Battlefield”, and “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” from Pat Benatar. She has much, much better and less played out songs than those. I laugh everytime I see someone talking about how much they love Pat, but all they can name is one of these three songs.

STFUPLZTHNX.

if you say ‘i dont want to live on this planet anymore’ in reply to teenagers not knowing who a singer that was popular 50 years ago ill happily kill you

Thank you. This. So much this.

I pray for the future of this country if any of the current Republican candidates become President…

Because God knows the people who support them are either fucking stupid or fucking insane.

lovedbythesavior:

this is worth all 33 minutes. watch it.

No, it’s really fucking not, and anyone who thinks the Holocaust can be compared ub any way, shape, or form is an insensitive douchebag.

I wish I could get as offended as others that some people don’t know who Paul McCartney is… But I truly don’t give a shit.

I have to wonder if these people are actually offended, or if they are trying to make themselves look cool/hip/relevant/not ignorant by acting like it’s the end of the world. A lot of people don’t know who Paul McCartney is. Acting like you’re so offended by this fact is ridiculous. Get the fuck over it.

This list is proof positive that TV stations like MTV and VH1 need to stop thinking they know anything about music.

Boy, the Grammys were really going for the gold this year, huh?

• Chris Brown is allowed back like the prodigal son even though he beat his girlfriend to a bloody pulp and sent her to the hospital. Because, according to them, they were the “victims”.

• An album entirely dedicated to heartache and cheating wins Album of the Year over an album that discusses socio-political issues and the plight of all those who are bullied for being gay and/or different. Who gives a damn about those gays and bullied kids? We want shit we can cry into our Kleenex about.

• They scramble to make a tribute to Whitney Houston, when in reality, it would have been nice to see them give a shit when she was alive.

Award shows are a fucking joke, but the Grammys are by far the worst of the bunch.

“'slut shaming'?”
-Anonymous

I assume you’re asking me what it means. It’s when women are shamed for wanting to engage in sexual activity for something other than procreation, or for simply having sexual urges and desires.

  • The Beatles: And when I touch you I feel happy inside. It's such a feeling that my love I can't hide, I can't hide, I can't hide.
  • Led Zeppelin: If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
  • Guns n Roses: She's got a smile it seems to me. Reminds me of childhood memories. Where everything. Was as fresh as the bright blue sky. Now and then when I see her face. She takes me away to that special place.
  • Nicki Minaj: You a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, (yeah) you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid), you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid)
  • EDIT BY MIRANDAADRIA: OH, OH, OH, CAN I PLAY THIS GAME, TOO?
  • Florence & the Machine: Through the crowded islands, crying out at me, In your place there were a thousand other faces, I was disappearing in plain sight, Heaven help me, I need to make it right...
  • Lykke Li: And I know it so well. I could play it by ear. Looking back at myself. While the violin plays and blue is my tune. Another stitch to my wound. Another inch in this dwell. I know it all too well. When once again it's happening: Oh our love has been divided.
  • Nightwish: 'Twas the night before, When all through the world, No words, no dreams. Then one day, A writer by a fire imagined all Gaia, took a journey into a child-man's heart...
  • It's stupid to compare songs that can't be compared in the first place. There were popular songs with crappy and nonsensical lyrics in the 50s', 60s', 70s', 80s', and 90s'. Stop being so fucking dense and ignorant, people.
