It’s Saturdaayyyy.

April 24th, 2010

So, here’s the scoop on what has happened so far this weekend.

The good news is, I’m healthy as a horse. The fibrous masses have not changed since two years ago, except there’s one new tiny one in the left boob. The doctor said that there’s a good chance it will remain benign, but that I should still check it out in 6 months to make sure.

To celebrate, my mom and I went shopping! :D It had been a long time since she and I did girly shopping together, and it was a lot of fun. I bought myself a pair of jeans, some frilly underwear (which I’m sure my hubby will enjoy, hehe), and a white tank top w/built in bra. I needed one because I have a really cute shirt that’s just a bit too sheer. Now, i can wear it without having to worry about anything extra showing. LOL. My mom also bought me a jacket that was just gorgeous. Thankfully, it was very cheap, too: only 10 bucks.

After we got back to my mother’s house, turns out my nephew had come over to spend some time with his dad. My brother was at my parent’s house, obviously. The night was pretty normal after that. We had pizza for dinner, cartoons were watched, I did my weekly features on deviantart.com, etc etc…

As for today, my mom and I dropped off my brother and his son at the train station so they could head on up to West Palm Beach and spend time with my cousin and her kids. Afterwards, we went to some stores trying to find a nice and cheap pair of sneakers for me. Now, this is a want, not a need, so I refuse to pay too much for something I just want to have. I’m trying to find a simple pair of black sneakers with no big logos or designs on them that still look young and fashionable for around 10-15 bucks. Apparently, this is much too high of a demand, because all the nice and simple black sneakers are either 30 bucks or look like orthopedic therapy shoes. UGH. I ended just buying a really cute black blouse and a black tanktop to wear underneath it: together, they cost me less than 10 bucks. LOL. I’m such a frickin’ penny pincher. hahaha.

Right now, I’m waiting for my friend Chris to come pick me up so we can go bowling. I’m planning on taking my D-SLR since I’m sure I’ll get some awesome shots. :D Hehe.

Well, I’m off to get a snack and watch some more Casino Royale on tv. CIAO!

One of those days.

April 22nd, 2010

Yes, today was one of those days. You know, the kind of day that is just endless excitement, chaos, and hilarity from morning to night? Yea, the kind of day where you’ve facepalmed yourself so much you might just end up unconscious.

Busy weekend ahead.

April 22nd, 2010

Yes, indeed-y. I’m gonna be busy, busy, busy. After work tomorrow, I’m going to my goddaughter’s soccer game, and from there I’ll be driving down to Miami. I have another doctor’s appointment Friday morning, and my doctor now has the new ultrasound scans from the hospital. Hopefully, tomorrow, I’ll find out if there actually has been any drastic change in the size of the massive fibrous mass in my left boob. I swear, I think that thing gets bigger every day. It’s the size of a ping pong ball now. =( Meh.

I’m going to be staying in Miami for the weekend, so I can spend some time with my family and friends. I haven’t seen some of my friends in almost 4/5 months, so it will be nice to hang out with them again. I’ve so far got plans for Saturday afternoon, and possibly Friday night. However, sprinkled in between, I’ll likely be doing stuff for my job, since there is still a lot of catching up to do. Now that Paul has left Statements to pursue other ventures, we have to buckle down and get shit done until Jon finds a replacement for him. Fun! *sigh*

On a lighter note, the newest Bleach chapter is UH-MAZING. I frickin’ called what would happen, too, which is always such a gratifying feeling. Oh, and the Bleach episodes are finally back onto the canon storyline from the manga. However, they’re taking their sweet, precious time getting to one of the greatest fights in Bleach history: Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra. WOOO! I’m SO stoked. :D

Anyway, it’s time to start packing my bags for the weekend and start getting ready for bed. Ciao!

Monday, monday…

April 19th, 2010

Sometimes it just turns out that wayyyyy… <3

Actually, my Monday turned out to be pretty good.It certainly started out on a great note, since my hubby made sure to give me some TLC before I headed out to work. *giggle* I spent the entire morning removing the audio from the movies Paul, my co-worker, shot of the wall sculptures. Now, people won’t hear the grinding of the machines or the automatic tape machine from the adjacent room. LOL. How embarrassing.

I went to lunch at this place called Cardello’s Italian Cuisine, and they had a pretty awesome lunch buffet. I had mostly pasta and bread, and only one (small) slice of pizza. The BEST thing they had, though, was their Alfredo sauce. HOLY COW. It was perfect. It also helped that the waitress was very nice and very attentive. So, having such a nice lunch certainly helped out my Monday, as well.

Right now, I’m home, waiting for the hubby to get dressed and ready to do some grocery shopping. After telling him about the restaurant, he got in the mood for Italian. Instead of going to a restaurant, though, we’re gonna buy a family-size lasagna from Publix and pig out. Haha. I think I might even buy some beers (god, when did I become such an alky? lol) to make this week a little more pleasant.

Anyway, I’m gonna go make the hubby hurry up. Ciao!

How to Be a Better Blogger

April 18th, 2010

I realized part of the reason that I didn’t get a lot of comments on my blog entries was because the people whom I left comments for never seemed to have much time to comment on mine. Hmm. SO, to rectify that situation, I decided to seek out folks with blogs who might be prone to comment on mine if I comment on theirs! I made a poll on deviantart.com, asking folks to link me to their blogs (whether it be on Blogger, Blogspot, Tumblr, WordPress, etc). The response I got was more than anything I ever expected! I ended up with almost 20-25 new additions to my Fellow Bloggers list. :D Hooray! So hopefully now, I’ll have a bit of a bigger following.

In other news, I went shopping today. I FINALLY bought a copy of “The Fame Monster” from Lady Gaga. Why hadn’t I bought a copy earlier you ask? Well, I didn’t have a car until recently, and since I’d gotten the car, all I’ve done is work, work, work. (And no, I didn’t want to order it online). I also bought myself some *cough* feminine apparel and a really cute shirt that kind of… already looks like the shirt I was wearing, except the one I was wearing was a tank top with a racer back. The new shirt has sleeves, so now I don’t have to worry about the damn bra straps showing anymore. Huzzah! I’ll likely wear it to work tomorrow. :D

Oh and speaking of work, I really do hope I have a good day tomorrow. I’m frickin’ exhuasted as it is, and the fact that tomorrow’s Monday instantly marks it as a day that is destined to be filled with stress, madness, and failure. If I can at least have a decent Monday, then I can have some ray of hope for the rest of the week.

Anyway, back to today, after leaving the mall (which is FAR AS HELL), I drove back north and stopped off at my cousin’s house to visit the family. My godkids were apparently VERY excited to see me. haha. The littlest one came rushing down the stairs shouting my name. SO KEWT! XD I didn’t take my camera, but that was fine. Luckily the iPhone has a decent camera so I snapped a few shots here and there. We watched “Back to the Future III” for a little while in the living room until I realized it was getting kind of late and decided to head back home.

I’m kind of hungry right now actually. I’m gonna go scavenge the kitchen for food. CIAO!

I’m gonna be a Mac.

April 16th, 2010

I’m getting a Mac Mini. Why? I’m sick of dealing with PC’s. I do not want to ever deal with the headache of losing my data or possibly losing my data again. Personally, I have NO preference whatsoever between a Mac or a PC. To me, a computer is a computer. My biggest concern is the unreliability that PC’s have always shown me. I’ve been using Macs for years and years, just as long as I’ve been using PC’s, and Macs never gave me an issue with losing data. So… Mac it is. Now that I have this job, and that I can get paid for overtime (which helps a LOT), I’m hoping I can get a Mac Mini in the next week or so. That way, I only have to bring home the work laptop when I need to instead of every single day.

At the moment I am enjoying my second beer of the evening (it’s Friday, dammit!), eating a bowl of cereal, and am currently updating my website with some new work that I’ve done in the past month. I recently did a series called “Badass Bitches”, as a way of breaking away from the overdone, oh-so-emo girls in black dresses looking depressed bandwagon of photomanips that has infested deviantART.com. I like when women who are empowered, strong, and opinionated. Mind you, by no means am I a feminist. I just feel that women shouldn’t be ashamed of being confident.

Oh, and interestingly enough, I’ve had two dreams about my ex Pleas in the last three days. In both dreams, I was basically telling him to go fuck himself. Must be karma huh? I talk about him online, and now he haunts my dreams. Fantastic. *sigh*

Anyway, enough of that. Back to my beer and cereal and to enjoying the rest of my Friday evening. CIAO!

………Yep.

April 12th, 2010

That title means “I couldn’t think of a title”. Clever, huh?

I am EXHAUSTED. I don’t think I’ve stopped moving in the last 3-4 weeks. It’s always something keeping me busy or something I want to do because it’s the only free time I’ll have available. =/ On the one hand, this is good, especially since I have a job that pays pretty well.  On the other hand, it leaves me feeling drained and depressed. I get home and I honestly don’t want to do anything except vegetate. However, I do LIVE for the weekends. Is that sad? To feel like you’re wasting your life away just waiting for the weekend to arrive? *sigh*

Anyway, speaking of weekends, this past Saturday was rather… interesting, to say the least. My neighbors (bf + gf) invited me and the hubby to go out to a bar and get our drink on. The beginning of the night was great! And thennnnn, it all started going downhill. My female neighbor got a little too intoxicated and basically started grinding up on every person she could find on the dancefloor. Even though I was half in the bag as it was, my buzz was basically killed by the fact that I had to babysit her so she wouldn’t make a total fool of herself. I was embarrassed, quite honestly.  I kept having to reassure her  boyfriend that I was taking care of her. Eventually, the night stopped being fun. The hubby and I decided it was time to go home. The minute I got home, I went straight to bed. I had a lovely buzz going on, and I’m honestly surprised I didn’t throw up. LOL. By the next morning, though, I was fine.

So yea, little lesson for y’all out there… friends don’t let friends get stupid drunk. =|

Anyway, on a much lighter note, I watched Inuyasha: The Final Act on Hulu, and it was SO WORTH THE WAIT. At long last, the story of Inuyasha is concluded, and HOW! It was so amazing to see all my favorite scenes from the manga animated at last. But I think the very best part of Inuyasha has always been the music. The background music they create and choose for each scene is just perfect every time, and it just melts me every time. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they use that ancient Japanese style of music. It’s just so mysterious and spooky, yet romantic at the same time.

As for other anime news, any and all fans of Bleach out there who are caught up on the latest episodes should be very happy that we’re going back to the main storyline this week!  YES! About frickin’ time, right? Mind you, the Zanpaktou filler arc, for me, was actually pretty damn good, and Muramasa instantly became one of my favorite Bleach characters. But I am dying, DYING to see the big battle between Ichigo and Ulquiorra. *SQUEE* :D That was my fangirl squeal in case you couldn’t tell. Haha.’

Anyway, I’m off to maybe watch some more anime or play some video games. Ciao!

Everything falls into place…

April 3rd, 2010

Yep, it certainly does. It seems like certain things just seem to happen in the right order and in the right time. It turns out that the morning before I got my car back, the much needed payment from Random House was credited to my account. Meaning, the morning after, the transfer was no longer pending, and I was able to pay the mechanics with no worries. The car is now driving amazingly. I’m still crossing my fingers and praying to Jeebus that everything remains OK, but so far, it’s been great. It also helped that yesterday was ALSO the day I got paid. So I was able to replenish some of the money I had spent the day before to get my car back.

Even work is getting better. After some rather annoying issues were dealt with (mainly how to efficiently post listings on eBay with the least amount of worry and trouble), the week just seemed so much more easy and carefree. I think Jon is now starting to realize I am capable of taking on multiple tasks and get them done. I just happen to be a perfecti0nist and want things to look GOOD. I want the company to look good. If the company looks good, the company makes more money, and everyone prospers in the end.

I’ve been so happy lately with how things are working out that I decided to treat myself to a day of fun and frivolity. I picked up my cousin (who desperately needed a “me” day away from her three kids), and we went down to the mall to do some very girly shopping. We did pretty good, actually! Both of us got a bunch of realllllyyy nice stuff for cheap. I took some photos of the things I bought:

My cousin got two pairs of jeans and some cute shirts, all for under 30 bucks. I only spent about 15, but I also bought less things, I believe. Hehe.

Tomorrow, I’m going back to my cousin’s house, partly because it’s Easter. The other main reason is because my parents are coming up to visit. After spending some time with them, I’ll go back down to Miami with my parents so that I can go to my doctor’s appointment on Monday. I am REALLY praying that all this good news doesn’t end with some really bad news on Monday.

And since I don’t think I’ve mentioned what my doctor’s appointment is for, I’m getting an ultrasound done. I’ve had fibrous masses in both my boobs for years (lumps, if you will). The last time I got an ultrasound done was two years ago, and they told me that they a) were benign, and b) would just slowly go away. But it feels like the biggest one I had two years has doubled in size since then. It freaked me out so bad that I decided it was time for another ultrasound. Here’s to hoping it’s still benign.

Well, that’s all for now. Ciao!
