Yet another update…

August 30th, 2010

I figure today is as good a day as any to update the world on what’s going on in my oh-so-important life.

I’m bed-ridden, again. I was in bed all weekend and feeling like utter shit. On top of it being the time of the month, I was having stomach issues as well. I couldn’t go to the bathroom, and then when I was actually able to, it hurt. I’m really hoping I don’t have to end up going to the hospital, but if this continues, I just might have to. I went to work today, and I started to feel OK around lunchtime. I figured, “maybe I can finally eat”… Bad idea. I bought a Publix sub, ate one half of it, and then the shit hit the fan. I got progressively worse as the afternoon dragged on. My legs would shake every time I would attempt to get out of my chair. My head started spinning and I couldn’t maintain my balance. It got so bad that I texted Audi about how bad I felt. He called me, and told me I needed to get home if I was feeling that bad. I went to a co-worker, and asked if I could go home early. She noticed how bad I looked (and sounded) and said that our boss could drive me home. So he did, and I’m so grateful. As soon as I went in my front door, I couldn’t carry my bags and laptop anymore. My legs were giving out beneath me. I dropped my stuff in my chair, and crawled under the covers. I slept for about 20 minutes, and that definitely helped. Now, here I am…in bed, typing this all out now.

In other news, my birthday just passed on the 22nd of August. Normally, people write a blog about their birthday, but really… I don’t put too much stock in my own birthday. I wrote a message in my deviantART journal talking about how I’d be gone for the weekend, but that’s about it. Anyway, here’s what happened last weekend.

On Saturday morning, I drove over to my cousin’s house so that I could spend time with my family, including my parents who had already been brought over from the train station by my cousin. They cut a cake for me, sang Happy Birthday, and then we all just spent time together until about 4pm. My cousin drove me and my parents to the train station, and I went down to Miami with them. That evening, I went out to dinner with my friend Chris and then we went over to Barnes & Noble. He originally wanted to go see a movie with me, but honestly, there was nothing worth watching. LOL. That’s pretty sad. So he bought me a book called The Dark Arts instead. You can see it here. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it with the cover I bought it with. =/ Chris also bought me these cute lolita looking arm warmers at Hot Topic (LOLOHNOEZ) that I plan to use in a photo shoot… whenever I get some energy back.

Sunday morning, I took the train back home, and I rested up for the evening to come. I had made plans to go out to dinner with my neighbors and invited my cousin Liz and my brother Nestor along. After much deliberation and indecision, I finally settled on going to this all-you-can-eat oriental buffet called Variasian. (See what they did there?) We all had an awesome time, everyone got along really well, and the food was fantastic. In other words, my birthday weekend was awesome. =)

In other random news…

I got my new license plate finally. I want to get a new cover for it, so that I can replace the Carmax one. Heh. And!! my Lunarpages sign was chosen as one of the weekly winners, so now I’m in the running for the 16gb iPad. Woohoo!

*45 minute intermission*

Ok, just went with Audi down to my job so that I could pick up my car and drive back home. I have done so, safely, without dozing off at the wheel, and now, I am back in bed.

…and that’s pretty much it. I’m tired, achey, and ready for some rest time. Ciao!

Just another manic weekend…

July 27th, 2010

Oh me, oh my… It has been one CRAZZZZYYY weekend! Let’s begin, shall we?

On Wednesday of last week, I found out it was going to cost another $300 to fix the new issue with my T-Bird. This was after I had the car towed from a friend’s house to my apartment, and then from my apartment to the mechanics. I was fed UP. I resolved at that moment that I wasn’t going to spend another dime on that possessed demon car. I needed to get a new car. What made the situation even more crazy was that Audi’s car was too low (too close to the ground), and with me in it, it only got worse. Thankfully, our friends who own a Trailblazer were out of town on a business trip, and they let us use their car while I got my own car problem solved. That helped immensely. Finally, Audi had no trouble driving me to work Thursday and Friday.

Here comes Saturday. We woke up pretty early, and I was ready to go car shopping. I had already noted a car I’d seen the night before on carmax.com. It was this GORGEOUS 2009 Chevy Cobalt in silver. I just knew from the moment I saw it that I wanted it. So on that morning, we called up Carmax in Boynton Beach, and asked about it. I’m going to condense the next part for you all: We were calling each other back and forth for nearly 8 HOURS. Audi had already driven to Carmax to meet up with the man I had spoken to on the phone, and to reassure him that I was on the way. When I finally made it to Boynton Beach to see and possibly buy the car, it was already 7:00pm. I was mentally and physically exhausted. But no… my night was nowhere near finished.

The paperwork that followed after my arrival took nearly 3 hours to finish. By this point, I was ready for some liquor… that or a very powerful sedative. Audi said I looked like I was about to go into a panic attack: I was nervous, twitching, and freaking out. LOL. And for damn good reason! I never realized buying a new car would be this nerve-wracking! But thankfully, the man who worked with us at Carmax was a fucking SAINT. Seriously, I never thought I’d meet a car salesman like that in my life. He was sweet, funny, and one of the most patient people ever. He stuck with us until I finally drove home in my new car at 10:30pm. Haha.

The next day came with the hassle of finishing up the insurance paperwork. I also needed to have my mother sign a power-of-attorney form so that she could sign the T-Bird over to me (the car was in her name) so that I could sell it to Carmax. Early Sunday morning, I drove all the way down to Miami (in my new car, teehee!), and after we finished doing everything we could (which wasn’t much, sadly), I hung out with my family. My nephew and brother were there, as well. Around 12:00pm, I started driving back home, but I had a few stops to make first. I needed to drop off the completed paperwork at Carmax, and then from there, I wanted to pass by my cousin’s house. Finally, around 6:00pm, I made it home.

So it’s been a bumpy road, but finally… FINALLY, I can rid myself of that damn car. No more memories, no more troubles, no more. Period. I can start anew with a new car, and in the process, continue breaking away from parts of my life that I don’t want to be reminded of anymore.

I’m gonna go get some shuteye now. Ciao!

About my weekend, and then some…

July 19th, 2010

I got so wrapped up in my rant about the movie “2012″, I completely forgot I was supposed to talk about my weekend. Hmm. So, here it is. My weekend in a nutshell (somewhat), and then I will continue with what has happened most recently.

On Saturday, Audi dropped me off at my cousin’s house to spend some time with the family. My mom and dad had come up from Miami. We all cut a cake and celebrated my two goddaughter’s birthdays (since the dates are so close and they actually LIKE having their parties together), and then we all gathered together for a very fun, very enjoyable game of Charades for Dummies. Yes, yes… apparently we are dummies, because some of us sucked at acting out the clues. We kept bugging my mom because she couldn’t figure out how many syllables were in each word. LOL.

After hanging out there for a while, I took the train down to Miami with my parents, and the night was pretty standard. I watched TV, ate dinner with them, and just hung out in what was once my bedroom and is now… an office/sewing room/spare bedroom. LOL.

Then, the next morning was the baptism. My best friend Chris has a few brothers; the eldest one, Brian, and his wife, Janine, were baptizing their baby girl Isabella. The baptism and mass were held in Chris’ church, which was a very… interesting experience. I’ll just say I much prefer Catholic masses; Latin hymns and ceremonial garbs evoke a lot more emotion in me than sitting in a church/lounge with a live band playing in the back. *shrug*

After that, I went shopping with my mom. I bought a bunch of earrings, and some cute shirts for work. While we were in Spencers’ she FINALLY commented on my new piercings. LOL. She asked me, “So when did you get those done?” I tell her, “Last Tuesday.” She just rolled her eyes… and that’s it! Haha. My other family members were telling me, “Oh she’s gonna flip out.” Well… hooray to my mom for proving them wrong. Later on in the evening, my parents drove me to the train station, and I was on my way home.

Now, on to what has been happening recently.

I give up on my car. It has been a downhill battle for years with me constantly on the losing side. Recently, its newest problem is the water pump; broken to the point where the car is once again, practically undrivable. After a few two truck trips and an estimate from my usual mechanics, I decided I am not going to fix the car anymore. I refuse to put any more money into that rotten lemon of a car. SO, instead, I’m looking into getting myself a new car. I’m hoping to do some car shopping this weekend with the hubby.

Just getting around everywhere has been a hassle. Audi’s car is too low, so with me in the car, it scrapes the pavement all the time. Hence, him driving me to work in his Miata was almost impossible. Fortunately for us, our friends that live near us offered us their SUV while they were away on a business trip. So, we have a mode of reliable transportation until I get a new car. Hopefully, I can get a new one by Sunday afternoon.

Anyway, that’s what’s been going on. I’m tired; I’m gonna try to catch some Z’s, Ciao!

Weekend review…

July 11th, 2010

So I had a rather interesting weekend, one that was filled with 90% happiness and 10% crap. Not a bad balance, really. I decided I needed a break from the stress and the headaches of trying to balance work with my commissions with my other life responsibilities. SO, I decided to cater to me for a little while.

On Saturday, I went shopping. I drove to Walmart first since I needed some new sports bras. The ones I had were getting too stretched out. I did some looking around in the clothing section, too. I found a pair of jeans that fit like they were painted on me. The tag said $11. I get to the register… they were actually $3. Pay dirt, baby!

My good luck just kept on coming. I found an adorable shirt at Forever 21 for $5. It’s a light pink baby-T with this awesome black lace & feather collar. I also bought an adorable bathing suit style baby-T at Hollister for $5, as well. At Claire’s, I got a killer-looking hat with this trippy skull & crossbones pattern, and I finally bought Devil May Cry 4.

I came home to find that Audi was in a very pleasant mood, and we had quite the wonderful afternoon together. To continue this spirit of cheer and content, I decided to order our favorite pizza; a Papa Johns extra large pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, italian sausage, and roma tomatoes. This time around, though, the hubby wanted black olives on one half, as well. Really, the night just continued to get better and better.

On Sunday, our friends Arthur and Ellen had a baptism for their baby girl, Abigail. There was a mass first, then the baptism, then there would be a party at Arthur & Ellen’s house. The event went by pretty smoothly, until Audi got mad at an innocent joke I made. Ugh. From there the drama started. Luckily, it was confined to about an hour, and some heavy discussion back at our apartment. Finally, I convinced him to go to the party, stating that there are more impprtant things to worry about than our dumb fight over a dumb joke. His spirit and attitude certainly appeared to lighten up as the party progressed. After we got home, he was back to his happy, loving self. =]

Right now, I am typing this up using my WordPress iPhone app. So, if there’s any mistakes, that’s why. lol. But anyway, I have to go nite nite now.

Ciao!

I’m an addict…

July 5th, 2010

I am officially a member of P.S.H. What is P.S.H., you ask? Well, it stands for “Playstation Home Anonymous”. Yes, I am addicted to Playstation Home. I’m on there right now, in fact! I log onto Home every night practically. It is just so much damn fun. I am most amused by the random and completely inane conversations that people have around me. Sometimes, I just sit there and laugh at the stupid shit people say. Another great thing is that it is just completely random. One time, Audi and I were cracking up over one avatar dressed as a Stormtrooper and doing the running man, while threatening a guy in a ninja outfit that he was gonna kick his ass. It’s… yea… fucking funny as hell.

So yea, that’s all I really wanted to say. Ciao!

The rollercoaster ride continues…

July 3rd, 2010

The good news is: I got a raise. Yep, my boss said he noticed I’d been working really hard lately and that I earned it. What he doesn’t know is the reason why I had been working so hard. Not only did I have to spend $700 to fix my car, the next day I had to put up half the rent. I was left with $26 in my bank account. Granted, this job pays every week so I am assured my balance won’t stay that low for too long. Within a day, I had $400 again. Still, that was painful to look at. Here I am working a 9-to-5, that extends into overtime hours a lot, and I just barely paid my dues. It’s depressing. Thankfully, that raise will help a lot. A LOT.

The bad news: Audi still wants to leave Florida. He and I had a HUGE talk about it yesterday. I told him, “I can’t leave Florida. Not right now. I have a solid job where my boss just gave me a raise, and I could possibly be earning more in the future. I can’t afford to lose this job just because I’ll be trying to decide where I’m gonna live in the next 2 months.” He agreed with that, but still said he wanted to leave.

I told him he needs to seriously think about it more. A LOT MORE. Yes, I was pissed. It’s not fair that I need to uproot my life, a life I need at the time, just because he doesn’t like Florida. I don’t like Florida, either. But now is not the right time for me to leave. If he decides to leave me here with this apartment, fine. But he needs to seriously consider what he’s leaving behind: a woman that loves him that has put up with his mood swings, has stuck around despite his multiple break-ups with her, and has never asked for anything other than his love.

Amongst a lot of other things, I told him, “Do you think another woman is going to have the same patience as me?” to which he replied, “What makes you think there would be any other woman?”… Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure how to take that. Does that mean he feels he won’t be able to get another girlfriend? Or that he thinks I’m the one? I don’t know. I’m still trying process it.

There was a lot of crying, a lot of anger, and a lot of comforting. If nothing else, I am grateful that Audi is a REAL man when it comes to treating me well. He doesn’t just bail on me or act like I’m a leper whenever I feel sad. After all of that, he said he would think about it more. I told him, “You know, this little shithole apartment may not be much, but at least you have a place to come home to with a  woman that loves you.” He said, “I know.”

*sigh* TROUBLE IN PARADISE.

Anyway, I’m off to work today. Need those extra hours, ya know! After that, I’ll be heading over to my cousin’s house since my parents are coming up from Miami. I’ll also be working tomorrow (Sunday) and after that, I’ll hopefully be hanging out with my neighbors to celebrate 4th of July. I hope.

Ciao!

May 16th, 2010

So yea, life has been pretty cut and dry lately. Go to my job, come home, do more stuff for the job, and work on art. That’s it. I’ve been obsessing over a new painting that has dominated the majority of my free time. LOL.

Fortunately, I DID take time of out my routine to spend some time with my family this past weekend. My parents, brother, and his son came up from Miami to visit my cousin, so I headed over there, too. We celebrated Mommy’s Day late, but it’s the thought that counts anyway. Shouldn’t matter what day it falls on, you know? We had plenty of good food, and the day was surprisingly drama free! I spent most of the time with my parents, aunt, and grandma just chit-chatting. My godkids and nephew were all playing together on the Wii, and my brother and cousin were hanging out on the second floor. Everybody just stayed in their own little space, and because of that, no arguments broke out. A MIRACLE, I tell you! Haha.

Today, I went over to my cousin’s again, since she had invited me to join them all at the pool. Soooo, I went out after leaving their house yesterday to buy a new swimsuit. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a true matching pair, so I bought a top from one set and a bottom from another. Yes, yes… I actually bought a two piece and may I just say I look DAMN FINE in it?? ;D The hubby commented on how good I look in a two-piece bathing suit. Teeheehee.

The pool was fun for the most part. There was almost nobody there. Two women came along who apparently couldn’t bear to see the little girl they brought along playing with my godkids (stuck up bitches), and ended up taking her away after only being there 20 minutes. Later on, some guy  and a kid (I’m assuming it was his son) sh0wed up. The kid was nice enough at first, but apparently was bothered by the fact that my godkids wanted to play with him. Seems he said something to Sabian and Sabian left the pool looking rather glum. We decided to leave soon after that, since it seemed we had overstayed our welcome. LOL. Fucking people piss me off. It’s bad enough that Sabian is a sensitive soul. We went back to the house, ate some lunch, and watched “Aliens in the Attic”. It was actually REALLY entertaining. I thought it was going to be just another dumb kid’s movie that I, as an adult, wouldn’t enjoy. But I was pleasantly surprised.

Anyway,  I want to get back to that painting. Ciao! <3

It’s Saturdaayyyy.

April 24th, 2010

So, here’s the scoop on what has happened so far this weekend.

The good news is, I’m healthy as a horse. The fibrous masses have not changed since two years ago, except there’s one new tiny one in the left boob. The doctor said that there’s a good chance it will remain benign, but that I should still check it out in 6 months to make sure.

To celebrate, my mom and I went shopping! :D It had been a long time since she and I did girly shopping together, and it was a lot of fun. I bought myself a pair of jeans, some frilly underwear (which I’m sure my hubby will enjoy, hehe), and a white tank top w/built in bra. I needed one because I have a really cute shirt that’s just a bit too sheer. Now, i can wear it without having to worry about anything extra showing. LOL. My mom also bought me a jacket that was just gorgeous. Thankfully, it was very cheap, too: only 10 bucks.

After we got back to my mother’s house, turns out my nephew had come over to spend some time with his dad. My brother was at my parent’s house, obviously. The night was pretty normal after that. We had pizza for dinner, cartoons were watched, I did my weekly features on deviantart.com, etc etc…

As for today, my mom and I dropped off my brother and his son at the train station so they could head on up to West Palm Beach and spend time with my cousin and her kids. Afterwards, we went to some stores trying to find a nice and cheap pair of sneakers for me. Now, this is a want, not a need, so I refuse to pay too much for something I just want to have. I’m trying to find a simple pair of black sneakers with no big logos or designs on them that still look young and fashionable for around 10-15 bucks. Apparently, this is much too high of a demand, because all the nice and simple black sneakers are either 30 bucks or look like orthopedic therapy shoes. UGH. I ended just buying a really cute black blouse and a black tanktop to wear underneath it: together, they cost me less than 10 bucks. LOL. I’m such a frickin’ penny pincher. hahaha.

Right now, I’m waiting for my friend Chris to come pick me up so we can go bowling. I’m planning on taking my D-SLR since I’m sure I’ll get some awesome shots. :D Hehe.

Well, I’m off to get a snack and watch some more Casino Royale on tv. CIAO!
