I finally did it. Well… ONE of the things I’ve been wanting to do. I got my second ear piercing. You can see it below:

And it was like the stars were aligned or something. I had already spoken to an employee at Claire’s last Saturday about getting my ears pierced. So today, after work, I decided to go get it done. I would have done it Saturday, but it was HELLA crowded. An entire village came out to witness one little girl getting her ears pierced. I figured it would be better to just wait and come back on a day when there would be much less traffic in the store.

So I drive to the mall, and I remembered that Claire’s was close to one of the big chain stores in the mall; as far as I recalled, it was next to Sears. I managed to grab the very first parking space, right next to the doors to Sears. Pay dirt, already? Goodness. I walk through Sears and lo, there is Claire’s directly to the left. As it turns out, the same girl I spoke to on Saturday is behind the counter! I re-introduced myself and she remembered me since I had mentioned I was allergic to gold.

After that, it was all rainbows and cupcakes, so to speak. Another customer, the employee, and myself started chit-chatting while the employee was setting up the piercing equipment. She was real easy to talk to, and made the process pretty much flawless. And the best part? It only cost me 17 bucks, since I had bought stainless steel instead of gold. Woohoo!

So yea, I’m pretty damn happy. The only thing that’s gonna suck is the maintenance, but it’s only for 6 weeks, and then I’ll have my second piercing hole for life. Squee!! ^_^
