It’s been so long…

October 24th, 2009

Wow, has it really been that long since I wrote an entry?? Geez. Well, here’s what’s been happening so far in my life.

- I went back down to Miami for two more weeks to work with Dustin at World Atlantic Airlines.  For the most part, it was all right. My parents didn’t give me a lot of grief, and I spent most of the second week doing things other than work, since hardly any changes came in for the manuals. *shrug* Fine by me, but I’m the kind of person that likes getting paid for doing actual work. Regardless, I’m grateful for the incoming paychecks.

- Random House has finalized all the necessary paperwork for the next omnibus for Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, and I should be getting paid sometime next week. I don’t want to assume anything, but  since they had me fill out paperwork so that I can be paid by direct deposit, maybbbbeeeeee… they might be keeping me in mind for MORE  future projects??

- I’ve been a lean, mean art-creating machine lately. I think I’ve made something new every single day for the last two weeks. I think this wave of inspiration might be triggered by the fact that I now live in a much less stressful environment. I don’t have to lock myself away in my room to get some alone time, or have to wait until everybody is asleep so I can concentrate on my work. :)

- An acquaintance of mine on deviantart.com wrote me a message saying that he was contacted by Penguin Books to create the art cover for a novel. He said he informed them that he couldn’t do it at the moment, and mentioned to them that they should ask me instead. I still haven’t heard anything from Penguin Books, so I have no clue if they are going to follow through with his suggestion. Still, it would be really nice to have a THIRD book cover under my belt. ;)

- I finally, FINALLY bought “The Darkness” for PS3, and man oh man, I am HOOKED. I’ve always been a fan of the character Jackie Estacado aka The Darkness, but playing this game has re-kindled my obsession. I even made a new work inspired by him. You can see it here on deviantart. The game is absolutely incredible. It feels like you’re in a movie, rather than playing a video game. I read a bunch of reviews about the game before buying it, and save for a few things here and there that needed improvement, they all seemed to praise it and love it. I can see why now. The game kicks major ass!

Anyway, I think that’s all for now. I can’t really think of anything else worth mentioning. So, until the next time… Ciao!

And that’s pretty
