Meh…

October 4th, 2009

I decided to keep the ring, even though I’m not 100% happy with it. I had been waiting for that particular ring to be relisted on eBay for MONTHS. After doing an intensive 2 hour search online for any other places that are selling ankh rings, and ones that looked good, I ended up finding squat. I would rather have one not-so-good ring than no ring at all. I took some pictures of the ring I received, just to show the comparison between the two items.

Here’s what the listing SAYS the ring was supposed to look like:

And here’s the description:

- Professional Egyptian Sleek Design
- Ancient Egyptians symbolized the Ankh for Eternity
- Highly polished to reveal the magnificent beauty of 925 silver
- 100% handcrafted by our professional workshop artisans
- All Sizes Available
- 100% satisfaction is guarantee
- We follow Strict quality control with the newest silver trends.
- We offer Worldwide shipping

I bolded all the parts that I found problems with. Here’s what the ring really looks like:

As you can see…

- Not as highly polished as it said it would be
- No .925 marking indicating it is sterling silver, which should come standard on ALL Sterling Silver products
- No professional would allow a ring with that many dings, dents, and markings to leave the factory if they were really aiming for “100% Satisfaction is Guaranteed”

But like I said, I waited months for this ring to be re-listed, so… *shrug*

Oh, and I forget to mention this. I found out why I got sick a few days ago. Turns out the fish we had bought had started to go bad, and I had gotten food poisoning. We had to dump an entire box of fish. ARGH. I wish Audi’s mom had told us how long would really last, even if they are hermetically sealed. >_<

Yesterday, Audi and I went to Gamestop and bought a few games for the PS3 and the X-Box 360. I got “Sonic the Hedgehog” for the PS3, and he got two racing games for the X-Box. When I went up to the cash register to pay, the cashier told me, “Well, you know we have this game used for a little bit cheaper.” I said that was OK, that I wanted it new. She continued… “Oh, I was just saying because this game, I didn’t think it was too good, and I’m a fan of Sonic, too, but this game was kind of a letdown and if you buy the used one, you can return it in 7 days if you don’t like it.” I started to get aggravated. I said, “I won’t be returning it.” Finally, she shut her fucking trap and earned her 5 bucks an hour by ringing up my purchase.

Anyway, I’m off for now. Gotta get my stuff ready to go back down to Miami tomorrow. Oh, the enthusiasm….

Wow, what a huge difference. I would be disappointed too :( I really hope you didn’t spend too much on it!

    @Christine

Thankfully, it was only $16, which is why I decided to keep it. But if it had cost me $25 or above, I would have definitely asked for my money back.
